Before deciding to purchase a solar system, this customer’s roof was simply there to just keep the rain off. Not that this isn’t exactly what a roof is supposed to do, we understood that for this particular business, keeping the drips out was especially critical. We bracketed the solar system above the actual roof and never made even a single roof penetration in the entire installation. Now, that empty roof is not only keeping the rain out, it’s also generating all of the electricity being used onsite.
